Title: Post Harvest Manager

Role Overview

 

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree with a focus on agriculture, manufacturing, crop management or business, and/or five or more years of relevant work experience. A background in quality control is a plus. Key qualities this position requires includes some management skills, strong computer skills including data entry, technically inclined (able to operate post harvest machinery), versatility, highly organized and detail oriented, problem solving and analysis skills, and adaptable. Desired dimensions in work ethic is to remain positive, enthusiastic, eager to learn and a good communicator. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs is required.

 

Major Areas of Responsibility (include but not limited to)

 

  • Oversees all operations from plant harvest through dry cure process.

  • Manages all aspects of drying schedule, packaging process and inventory procedures.

  • Work closely with sales and distribution team to ensure they are up to date on product release dates.

  • Schedule and manage logistics of product shipping.

  • Coordinates with lab manager about processing material needs.

  • Maintain an organized and clean working environment.

  • Understand and follow all safety protocols, compliance and SOPs.

  • Maintain detailed record keeping.

  • Troubleshoot down equipment and basic equipment maintenance.

  • Manage post-harvest employees, machine operators and laborers.

  • Willingness to complete whatever task is necessary to get the job done.
